MEMO FROM NARA
Change… Change… Change…! Everyone talks about change without
changing herself or himself. What change we want? Where do we want change? How
to change?
Politicians in a democracy want change in order to capture
the Government and to help their own family members and friends and friends’
family. In a country like India, which is over populated by all standards, the
people belong to different States speaking different languages following
different religions, belonging to different castes, having different levels of
education, earning different family income and holding different kinds of jobs
do want change. Such vast variability in our society is maintained by men and
women by casting their valuable votes once in five years to elect a Government.
They can bring about changes in the Government if they are not satisfied with
the performance of the previous Government.
Of late such changes have been thought about in Arab
countries which have been ruled by single families without giving a chance for
the people of the country to participate in the governance. Protests were shown
by people at different times without much success. But now the people after
seeing the people in their neighbouring countries and their economic
development, standard of life and employment opportunities started agitating in
Egypt, Libya, Syria and other countries with great courage and determination.
They are losing lives of many civilians who want democracy in their country.
In fact, the world had woken up to think and fight for the
right. Human beings are in general, power-mongers. They even butcher the fellow
humans to meet their goals. Those power-mongers live in high citadels with all
comforts not understanding the conditions of their country-men who do all the
work for the progress and prosperity of the country.
Another most important kind of change one has to bring about
is to change oneself to suit the country’s development. If each one of us
realizes the importance of change for the better, then a country can change for
good. For instance, people talk about corruption which ruins the administration
of a country without thinking about their own involvement in the process. The
youth of our country came forward in countless numbers to support Anna Hazare, the champion of
anti-corruption. One likes to think, how many of these youths bribed schools
and colleges to get admission, how many of them bribed teachers for getting
better grades, how many of them bribed the ministers to
get a job and how many of them bribed the authorities to get a transfer to
their native place? Even to get a constable job the candidate has to bribe, to
get a Vice-Chancellor post one has to bribe and also to get a candidate seat to
contest an election or a minister post one has to shell out crores of rupees as
bribe to a political party. These are known to everyone including the media in
our society. The bribe giver and the taker are also known; but how to eliminate
such practices? Do you think anti-corruption
law or Jan Lokpal Bill will solve it? I don’t think so and many others also
think similar way. Each one of us has to change in not giving or not getting
bribe at all levels. If we fail to do it then we stand as we stand today. Nothing
will change…Don’t you think so?
JUST TO LAUGH...
Most 'First
Class' students get technical seats, some become Doctors and some Engineers.
* The 'Second Class' passes, and then gets
MBA, become Administrators and control the 'First Class'.
* The 'Third Class' pass, enter politics and
become Ministers and control both.
* Last, but not the least, the 'Failures'
join the underworld and control all the above.
And those who
do not attend any school, become Swamis and Gurus and everyone goes to them.
BEING INDEPENDENT
Being independent
refers to the act of being in charge of yourself, and the consequences of your
actions, instead of being subservient to other people, or other forces. Below
are some basic understandings
1. Creates
discipline of the mind and body
When
you are directly in charge of yourself, you will have an understanding of how
your own personal actions and thoughts affect reality. You are not subservient
to anybody else and can see clearly what affects your actions are having in the
environment around you. This increase your discipline of the body and mind, in
which you continue to make the right decisions towards your goal.
2. Allows
you to follow your passion
You
are not living someone else's passion, but your own. When you live your own
passion, you can connect to within your passion and increase its energy even
more. This correlates in an increase in mental and physical manifestation
directly. You will get more ideas about your goal, and you will develop a clear
plan of how to apply your ideas to achieve material manifestation.
3. Allows
you to understand the factors of success
If
somebody else is doing all the work for you, you can't understand the main
principles and variables which are creating the success. When you take charge
of the ropes yourself, you can see exactly what works and what doesn't.
4. Strengthens
your frame and reality against other realities
When
you have a strong frame, you can push back against others who try to override
your frame or way of doing things. You also can hold your ground against the
invasion of different ideas and beliefs of other people, because you have
formed inner mental fibre which acts as a blockade and barrier against it. This
helps to maintain the momentum in your manifestations, by stopping anything
untoward from penetrating your mind set.
What
To Expect/Conclusion
When
you become independent, you are well on the path to manifestation success.
Being in charge of yourself develops remarkable control of the mind and body,
and helps to create manifestation momentum. The only downfall from this is that you
may become oblivious to obvious mistakes which exist in your life.
TO CHANGE THE WORLD
Eye contact
Eliminate complaining, express positivity
You may not realize that,
but when you complain about something, you are subconsciously creating a
dysfunctional mind set that is going to later prevent you from finding a
solution to your problem. This also happens when we focus our energy on
the negative aspects of our lives. But this doesn’t always impact your life
only. Complaining can make you become a “bad company” for others and you can
start losing friends. We are so used to thinking about how things can go wrong,
about the worst thing that can happen that we forget that there is a positive
side to everything in life. Cultivating a positive mind set is hard work in the
beginning but it pays off once it becomes a habit. Why not concentrate on how
things can work out the best for you and how you can make the best of your
current situation? This way you can inspire other people to do so as well.
Do not regret growing older, it’s a privilege denied to many!

MEMO FROM NARA
Committing mistakes is a common
practice with all of us. Every day we make some mistake – may be simple or
serious. Some are hidden and others are open. Hidden mistakes are not known to
others whereas open ones are known to all around us. Generally we feel ashamed
of those open mistakes. Is it possible to live without committing mistakes? A big
‘No’ is the answer. In fact, human beings are born to make mistakes and learn
from them. What is a mistake? Wrong idea or opinion or incorrect due to
ignorance is referred to as mistake. An error, blunder, fault or defect can be
also called as a mistake. If we deviate from the stipulated law and order, then
also it is a mistake. Spitting in public places, destroying public properties,
stealing other’s possessions, committing crime, breaking a queue, and the like
activities are considered as mistakes.
Writing a wrong answer to a
question is a mistake. If there is a mistake in the calculations, it is called
as an error. Similarly a blunder is a serious mistake committed due to
carelessness. Some mistakes are made as a result of forgetfulness and ignorance.
Putting petrol in a diesel car, forgetting train ticket leaving it at home and
boarding a train, going to office late every day and many such things are in
fact mistakes avoidable but not avoided due to reasons unknown. If we commit
such mistakes once, then we may not repeat it. Instead we will be cautious and
careful in future.
Forgetfulness as indicated
earlier is one of the serious reasons for making mistakes. Patience sometimes
may help to avoid committing mistakes. Impatient persons cannot think properly
so it is possible to err. Experienced persons, mostly elders in a family try to
always remind the youngsters to be more patient and think before committing any
mistake. Ignoring such advices may lead to make more mistakes. In fact, we all
like to be perfect by not committing mistakes. But somehow it doesn’t happen
always. Road accidents happen because of someone’s fault. Carelessness due to
absent mindedness caused by worries or alcoholism or diversion of attention is
the reason for the fault. Mistake once committed has its own consequences. The
person who makes a mistake is responsible and has to have the consequences
which may be bitter sometimes.
Most of the mistakes are judged
by concerned authorities. Teachers, professors, parents, police and judges keep
an eye on mistakes and award appropriate punishments after fair judgement.
Simple mistakes carry simple punishments after fair judgment. Simple mistakes
carry simple punishment whereas serious mistakes are punished heavily.
Sometimes judgments may go wrong because of paucity of evidences. In such cases
options are given for defending. Therefore we have all chances to rectify
mistakes if they are not really mistakes.
There are two opinions about
mistakes. One is to commit mistake and another is not to do so. George Bernard
Shaw once said: A life spent making
mistakes is not only more honourable, but more useful than a life spend doing
nothing. Similarly Niels Bohr, a renowned scientist defined an expert as a person who has made all the
mistakes that can be made in a very narrow field. So
making mistakes is not a mistake as long as we make something out of it.
However, let us not venture to make unwanted and unnecessary mistakes in life
and suffer. Be careful in doing things patiently to avoid most of the mistakes
which normally we commit every day. However, the unavoidable mistakes made will
certainly teach us a lesson which we call as experience.
Teacher: Sam, You talk a lot …
Sam: It’s a family tradition.Teacher: What do you mean?
Sam: Sir, my grand-father was a street hawker, my father is a teacher.
Teacher: What about your mother?
Sam: She is a woman.
During a lion safari, a lion suddenly jumps on a man’s
wife.
Wife: Shoot him!Husband: Yes, Yes. I’m changing the battery of my camera.
Patient: “That’s not tattooed. That’s where my wife ran into me while I was opening the garage door.
IDEA GENERATION
Idea
generation is a general term to describe the ability to
achieve certain types of mental manifestation. Good ideas are essential to help
you progress and modify the route towards your goals. They also help you to
understand the process of how manifestation occurs, so you can fine-tune your
overall manifestation system towards progress. Below you will find some key
basics about idea generation:
1. Generating ideas should be an active
endeavour. That is, you should not just
expect your best ideas to come as a by-product of your day to day activities.
You need to actively go out and generate good ideas. You can do this through
various means such as brainstorming, koinonia
sessions, research etc. You should never expect the ideas that you have
generated through yourself to be sufficient. Even though it is true that all
knowledge can be accessed from within your own mind, that doesn't mean that
external knowledge doesn't serve a use. The external knowledge exists for the
reason to guide you towards the true knowledge you require for your
manifestation effort.
2. Koinonia sessions are a good way to generate key new ideas. A koinonia session is basically a
peer group session by which leading experts in your chosen goal or topic
discuss and generate new ideas in a non-judgemental environment. The benefit of
this is that you gain exposure to key concepts and ideas you may not have
thought about.
3. You must write all your ideas down. To
rely on your memory to store your ideas is a recipe for forgetfulness, and so
we must remember our ideas permanently by writing them down. Key lessons and
understandings should be placed on a wall or board in front of you, so that you
can gradually over time, internalise the lessons and ideas generated.
4. You must understand the importance
of ideas. Ideas are giving you significant insight into how
you should achieve your goals. Every idea which comes from your mind (under the
correct manifestation system) has extreme importance and must be fully
understood by you. Full understanding can only come about through recognition
that the idea is serious, meaningful and extremely significant. Only through
this will it allow you to put your full mental attention into understanding the
idea itself.
What To Expect/Conclusion: When
the ideas are flowing freely, and you have a genuine understanding of their
significance, you are well on the way to the correct manifestations you seek.
Idea generation is a significant component within mental manifestation, so it
is vital that you learn to implement the correct system to allow it to happen.
THE SECRET OF SUCCESS
1.
Pay attention to your thoughts as they determine your future: Always be
positive and develop a “can do” mind set. Steer clear of negative people who
would seek to undermine your commitment to your goals. Focus on success, and
not on failure.
2.
Be concrete and specific when you dream and set goals: Write down the steps
that will lead you there, then track your progress and make changes if needed.
3.
Take action: Goals are just words until you actually do something. Every day
take a step that moves you in the right direction.
4. Be a life-long
learner: Get more training, take a class and acquire news skills. Keep reading
widely to expand your knowledge base.
5. Be tenacious,
persistent and don’t give up: Hard
work is behind every winner’s success.
6.
Process the facts and the details: Get information and feedback. Notice what
works.
7.
Stay focused: Don’t be distracted by people or things. Prioritise your time and
stay focused on your goals.
8.
Be innovative and creative: Following the crowd doesn’t take you very far.
Don’t be afraid to try something new and give yourself permission to think
outside the box.
9.
Develop and practise good people skills: To be effective, we need to learn what
motivates and brings the best out of others. Also, we need to deal with people
in a way that is respectful, open, firm and fair.
10.
Be responsible, reliable and dependable: Your word must be your bond, you must
do what you say, and follow through on your commitments to others.
If this block is not in place, then nothing else will matter!
