SHALL WE DANCE?

Dancing, or moving to a rhythm or music, is a natural ability we all have. You "danced" as a child, bouncing up and down in your crib, or playing your "pretend" games. And for adults, dancing can be a great physical workout and has many other health benefits as well.

You can burn as many calories dancing as you can walk or riding a bike, or even swimming, depending on the particular dance. Researchers have noted that dancing can help reduce stress, increase your energy and improve your strength, muscle tone, and coordination.

I was surprised to learn that it's the only physical activity that also has benefit for your mental health as well. A study found that dancing can help reduce the risk of Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, because it also stimulates the mind.
