NUTRITIONAL VALUES OF VITAMIN C




Nutritional value of Vitamin C is very high. It is required for the repair and growth of your body tissues. Ascorbic acid is used to:

v  Make an important protein utilized to make tendons, skin, blood vessels and ligaments.

v  Vitamin C also works as an antioxidant. Antioxidants are those molecules that protect cells from harmful external forces like UV, cigarette smoke, etc.

v  Our body is not capable of making vitamin C or ascorbic acid on its own as well as it doesn’t store vitamin C. This is therefore, essential to include ample of vitamin C-containing meals in your every day diet.

v  For several years, the common cold is treated by taking supplements of vitamin C.

v  Cure wounds.

v  Maintain cartilage, teeth and bones.

v  However, people who take the supplements of vitamin C frequently may have somewhat shorter colds.

You could have listed some of the vitamin C containing fruits and vegetables to make it complete.
